Beginning January 14, 2009 NACHRI will conduct online presentations on the outcomes from the 2008 FOCUS Groups. Participants will hear speakers, see the presentation, and may participate in discussion with the presenters and other participants.
With 2008 coming to a close, all eyes are on the beginning of the 111th Congress and the Obama presidency. The most urgent priorities they will face are an economic stimulus package and an omnibus spending bill to fund the government for the remainder of FY 2009.
No state legislature took action on bills affecting children’s health care, effectively ending their work for 2008. However, CMS released final federal rules affecting the Medicaid program. For more, see this month’s issue of State Policy Services Update.
